GNC Site Merchant in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Job Summary

The Site Merchant is responsible for the execution of all visual merchandising and user experience as it relates to finding and selecting products on GNC.com . This position will be responsible multiple categories/channels within the GNC.com web store and will work to ensure that all aspects of the user experience is customized to each category.

Additionally, this role is responsible for managing and reviewing online product content, ensuring that all related assets are collected and entered accurately and effectively.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Report and analyze Key Performance Indicators and category performance on a weekly basis

  • Maintain and measure new item profitability on both GNC.com and Marketplace platforms

  • Continually analyze, execute, and provide improvements to the customer experience as it relates to navigation and product content

  • Attend weekly category Merchant meetings to review category business and upcoming product launches

  • Complete competitive analysis to determine key product areas our assortment is lacking and additional brands we could bring in as well as alignment with categorization, promotions, and trends

  • Create and maintain tracking document for all new products being brought in for the web expansion initiative

  • Meet weekly with Procurement partners to ensure company goal of 95% in-stock rate is upheld and alert them of any promotions that may cause a spike in sales

  • Optimize the site search experience through reports in Sales Force tool and Google Analytics

  • Partner with GNC Brand Managers and Product Development to create exclusive brands and products only sold through GNC eCommerce business platforms

  • Complete competitive analysis on pricing to present back to Merchant teams & implement pricing changes immediately when possible for web only items

  • Partner with Web analysis team to determine and execute ongoing web site testing.

  • Work with product content and Merchant teams to ensure product content/imagery are up to date and accurate and completed on a priority basis.

    • Work with merchant teams to identify and to implement additional product content for key products while looping in the content team
  • Partner with other e-Commerce team members and Merchants to ensure new product launches are set up to succeed

  • Complete competitive analysis on pricing to present back to Merchant teams & implement pricing changes immediately when possible for web only items

  • Acquire alternative product images and product centric videos to place on product detail pages when possible and distribute to the content team for implementation

Job Specifications

  • Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.

  • Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines.

    Bachelor's Degree in Marketing/Business or related field

2+ years related experience.
