GNC Graphics Communications Specialist in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Job Summary

Design and develop graphic content and vehicles to support communication needs for all corporate, stores and field personnel to ensure successful and efficient implementation of campaigns at the store level.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design collateral that supports communication to all associates; corporate communication, in-store flyers, brochures, GENESIS banners, franchise pieces ("Hot Sheet", Product Guide Book, and similar); coordinate cross-functional needs for content and direction.

  • Serve as the lead designer for the company's newsletter/publication: manage editorial content, graphics/layout, and cross functional team coordination; manage production schedule, secure necessary approvals, oversee printing process.

  • Assist Director of Communications with designing, managing, and coordinating training materials that support training to include the Global Conference and corporate Town Hall events.

  • Ensure all communication is accurate, timely and adheres to communication standards and maintains brand integrity.

  • Work with cross functional teams to ensure accurate information is communicated and to resolve questions and issues in a timely manner. Elevate issues as needed.

  • Support the overall operations department with special communications requests and graphics needs.

  • Attend various cross-functional meetings as a representative of the department as determined by the supervisor.

  • Contribute to the overall planning and streamlining of efficiencies to provide ongoing improvements to the communications process.

  • Other duties as assigned to assist with department needs.

Job Specifications


  • 1-2 years of experience in marketing, advertising, communications and/or graphic design.

  • Experience with graphic design and electronic communications.

  • Seasoned writing, copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills for publishing.

  • Technical expertise in the printing process.

  • Proven ability to think strategically and determine impact of decisions on the business.

  • Ability to effectively communicate in a cross-functional team environment.

  • Excellent verbal and communications skills.

  • Detail oriented and comfortable with a fast-paced, structured, retail environment.

  • Extensive computer ability to work effectively and efficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and other design programs.


  • Bachelor's Degree
