GNC GNFS Accounting Supervisor in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
The GNFS Accounting Supervisor is responsible for the training and supervision of the GNFS accounting and clerical staff to ensure timely and accurate processing of client financial statements. Supervisor is also responsible for assisting Manager in planning and development of overall enhancements and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure the timely and accurate journalization of all assigned accounts and transactions to the general
Provide final financial review of client financial statements.
Provide supervision, and review of assigned staff accountants while helping to track daily progress; ensuring timely and accurate issuance of financial statements.
Partner with Management and Department Trainer to ensure new onboarding training is successfully achieved.
Identify training needs and partner with Management and Department Trainer to develop areas of opportunities to better develop staff and grow the business.
Assist Department Training with training for team. Manage training process when necessary.
Responsible for consistent communication with staff regarding performance and development.
Thoroughly analyze trends and proactively provide guidance in the understanding of all financial
Develop and assign metrics in order to drive staff to achieve assigned goals while maintaining Franchisee relationships.
Provide result analytics to Management to review data trends and align goals as appropriate.
Manage and hold team accountable to have regular communication with franchisee.
Responsible for communication with management regarding staff progress and issues.
Independently provide guidance to the group on issues or questions they have regarding file preparation and accounting principles.
Maintain and assist with developments and enhancements to the GNFS program.
Ensure all physical inventories are scheduled with Loss Prevention Department.
Effectively communicate and work with other departments within GNC.
Promote and sell the GNFS service to new franchise store owners. Achieve service goals based on assigned metrics.
Work on special projects as needed
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, required distributing accurate information and answering inquiries efficiently.
Interpersonal skills required to effectively work with franchisees, peers, staff, and management.
Analytical ability required to research and analyze financial statements and accounts for accuracy.
Ability to organize work load to research and answer questions and to complete duties in a timely manner. Must be able to perform under time sensitive deadlines.
Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and Access) required to update and maintain accounts and to produce necessary reports.
Able to work with sensitive information and to maintain confidentiality.
3-5 years of general accounting experience, including 2 years of supervisory experience.
Bachelor Degree in Accounting.
