GNC Business Development Manager in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
The Brand Manager is responsible for working with the Director of Partner Business to strategically manage the development, implementation, and execution of the GNC brand in outside retailers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
Assist in planning and implementation of planograms and store layouts that support the various partner businesses and maximize retail sales. This will include but is not limited to product assortment and in store graphics.
Participate in execution of the promotional plans including recommending and proofing product selection, promotional pricing, off shelf placement and signage while maintaining both GNC and partner margin objectives.
Work with partner retailers to drive comprehensive line review process for major seasonal sets.
Work with internal teams and external partners to manage and implement product innovation and development process
Develop internal relationships with various GNC departments to support partner business initiatives.
Responsible for facilitating communication between customer and internal buying team to assure product availability while minimizing exposure to potential write offs due to discontinuation or expiration.
Manages product set up and maintenance in GNC internal system (Cambar) and external customer systems.
Responsible for planning, tracking, reviewing and approving weekly circular plans
Responsible for managing third party packaging relationships to assure product is presented and delivered in expected and agreed to fashion.
Responsible for interfacing with external customer team and internal stakeholders to review and approve all appropriate creative development
Proactively manage obsolete inventory report and ensures constant alignment between internal GNC teams and external account team
Develops new product concepts for Product Development that are consistent with customer and market needs as well as internal margin hurdles
Works with external customer team to get all items on samsclub.com and riteaid.com
Work with outside vendor on incremental inventory opportunities such as clip strips and end caps
Utilizes partner sales reporting websites to track and monitor retail sales
Work with and identify additional distribution opportunities
Responsible for competitive product assortment reviews within the supplements industry in other retailers
Experience / Training Required
2-4 years' experience working in Merchandising, Brand Management, Product Management and / or Category Management
Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or related discipline prefereed

Previous experience in Merchandising or Brand Management
Analytical abilities and comfort with presenting data in a compelling way
Passion for the GNC Pets business and a desire to help drive its growth
Works Environment / Travel
