GNC Sr. Financial Analyst in Greenville, South Carolina

Job Summary

This position will support the Operations Controller, Financial Services team and Nutra management team in performing various financial and analytical support including data analysis, modeling, ROI calculations, reporting, assistance in preparation of presentations and participation in the forecasting and budgeting process

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop capital project ROI calculations, working with both the Financial Services team and other Nutra management.

  • Perform data analysis to support plant projects and help identify expense reduction opportunities.

  • Assistance in evaluating manufacturing costs and setting of standards, in association with the cost accounting group within the financial services team.

  • Assist in the preparation of presentations for Nutra and Corporate management.

  • Assist in the weekly update of forecasted monthly and quarterly results that is prepared for Corporate.

  • Assist departments and Financial Services team in the process of quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting.

  • In concert with cost accounting and general accounting, do deep dives into variances in performance and expenses.

  • Assist visiting auditors, both internal and external, by ensuring prompt responses to data requests and inquiries.

  • Assist Financial Services management in identifying opportunities for process improvements within the department.

  • Perform ad hoc analysis on future opportunities including customer acquisition and technology enhancements within our facilities.

Job Specifications

Bachelor's degree, preferably in finance or accounting

3+ years of financial and analytical experience, preferably including a manufacturing entity.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, within the Financial Services department, across the Nutra organization and with GNC finance and management.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to communicate clearly and concisely with various levels of management.

  • Self-motivated with business acumen, in-depth analytical skills, strong, detail orientation and execution skills which will drive efficient completion of projects in a dynamic environment.

  • Advanced user in Microsoft Excel and high proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with query tools. Experience with Spreadsheet Server would be a plus.

  • Experience in financial modeling software such as Crystal Ball or @Risk a plus.
