GNC Maintenance Technician in Greenville, South Carolina
Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager, this position will provide daily maintenance on machinery, both preventative and repair. Also, makes repairs or adjustments to machinery and equipment as needed to optimize production, quality and performance of lines and equipment. The position also requires assisting and training entry and intermediate level technicians when necessary.This position is for 3rd shift the hours will be 10p-6a.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Directly responsible or assists others in installation, relocation, troubleshooting, repair, upgrades, calibration, and routine setup of assigned equipment.
Train operators, technicians, and other employees who work with assigned equipment.
Mentor and train entry and intermediate level technicians in order to raise the skill level of the organization.
Coordinate vendor equipment training.
Indirectly responsible for productivity via ensuring that assigned equipment is running properly and at
Order spare parts through proper facility channels.
Operate newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs
Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and properly complete all associated paperwork in timely manner for assigned equipment.
Indentify maintenance trends, suggest modifications to PM program to address trends and improve equipment up time.
- >5 years maintenance experience within a manufacturing, industrial or commercial environment
7 years maintenance experience in a cGMP-regulated environment
- Two year technical degree; OR five years relatable maintenance/technical experience may be substituted for minimum education requirements
Two year technical degree with engineering coursework completion
Proficient computer skills utilizing MS Office and Outlook and Internet (MS Word, Excel); Ability to create spreadsheets, graphs, templates and/or databases
Knowledge and understanding of LOTO and OSHA safety requirements as related to industrial operations
Knowledge and understanding of process support equipment and machinery
Working knowledge of mechanical functions and systems (e.g. change oil, gears, hydraulic and pneumatic systems)
Advanced skills in the installation, modification and repair of mechanical and electrical systems
Working knowledge of electrical functions and systems (e.g. fuses and power checks)
Working knowledge of PLC(s) (i.e. I/O devices, programming languages, vision systems and calibration)
Ability to set up drives, read schematics and blueprint
Ability to safely perform basic machining operations
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, and precision measuring instruments (e.g. meters, micrometers, calipers, etc.)
