GNC Team Lead in Whitestown, Indiana

Job Summary

GNC Distribution is seeking a 2nd shift Team Lead for our highly -automated, temperature-controlled fulfillment operation in the Whitestown IN Distribution Center.

Under direct supervision of our 2nd shift Distribution Supervisor, this position is responsible for providing technical direction and leadership in assigned areas. Responsibilities will include: troubleshooting product and process related issues, assigning work tasks, ensuring a safe and productive work team through proper training of associates. We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and experienced candidate who will lead by example!

Hours: Monday - Friday 1:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists the Department Supervisor in maximizing productivity and employee morale ensuring service levels are achieved.

  • Responsible for monitoring staff so that all 2nd shift distribution duties are completed.

  • Make Supervisor aware of any employee relation or attendance matters.

  • Ensure the timely, accurate, and damage-free handling of materials and merchandise

  • Monitor work activity within assigned area

  • Verifies and creates paperwork for E-Com operations

  • Resolves problems with orders

  • Assist the Logistics Supervisor in developing operational plans on a daily and weekly basis

  • Responsible for helping to ensure a safe, positive and productive work environment

  • Maintain professional daily interaction with all levels and departments throughout the organization

  • Raise employee concerns to the Supervisor

  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Job Specifications

  • Ability to function effectively at both strategic and tactical levels

  • WMS systems experience, Red Prairie preferred

  • Proven leadership skills including the ability to coach, train, motivate, and empower associates

  • High ethical standards, demonstrated strong integrity

  • Models and supports organization’s goals and values

  • Demonstrated leadership by example, proven and work ethic

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, detail-orientated with a drive for quality and accuracy

  • Ability to stand and bend down for continuous periods of time, frequently lift up to 30 lbs, and occasionally lift up to 85lbs.

Required:

High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred:

1 year experience in distribution experience
