GNC Mezzanine Operator in Whitestown, Indiana
GNC is the nation's leading retailer of vitamin and supplements. We are currently seeking a Mezzanine Operator at our
state-of-the-art distribution center in Whitestown IN.
Under the direct supervision of the Facilities Manager or Production Supervisor, this position is responsible for the daily start up/shut down of the mezzanine operations, to include monitoring product movement on the conveyor system from receiving to the shipping area.
*warehouse production, machine operator, conveyor systems
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Start up and monitor conveyor system at the beginning of the shift; report any equipment issues to facility maintenance ASAP
Load and separate incoming waves from Receiving onto overflow conveyor system
Monitor movement of product on conveyor to avoid possible spills or jams.
Monitor conveyor belts via GUI and report any stoppages, estops, faults and/or alarms to facility maintenance ASAP
Clear any conveyor jams that may occur in a safe and effective manner
Ensure adherence to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced is required
Communicate with Maintenance regarding any problems with machinery or conveyor system
At the end of the shift, preform a Post-Sort-Tour (PST) around your area and taking any product downstairs for inventory processing.
Complete all necessary paperwork and proper documentation
Maintain quality and cleanliness of work area and around machinery
Ensure job specific safety procedures are established and followed
During idle times; will be required to help other department(s)
Other misc tasks as assigned.
High school diploma or GED required
3-6 months experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
Certified to operate powered equipment or the willingness / aptitude to become certified.
