GNC Senior Procurement Analyst in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
This job has companywide responsibility for creating and driving procurement opportunities for assigned categories of indirect spend while building strong, collaborative relationships with business unit owners and category stake holders. This role will act as a strategic business partner and will support category strategy development, strategic procurement processes such as supplier relationship management, spend analysis and management, demand and compliance management and market analysis. The Sr. Procurement Analyst will work with the Procurement and Financial Planning & Analysis teams to create a procurement project pipeline, achieve business strategies and deliver sustainable and measurable cost savings. This role will act as a “player-coach” for specified procurement categories; additionally, the person in this role will be coached and developed with the goal of obtaining increasing responsibility within the procurement team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead creation and implementation of procurement and demand management strategies for assigned categories of spend, manage the development of RFx materials, detailed analysis of proposals and vendor capabilities, negotiations and supplier selection.
Plan, schedule and monitor category sourcing initiatives, ensuing an on-time delivery of projects; exercise tight project management.
Execute market making and supplier identification strategies; monitor commodity market trends as needed for specified categories/projects
Conduct category spend analyses and reporting
Identify and execute on opportunities for process improvement, within procurement activities, purchasing processes and cost control practices
Maintain the highest level of integrity in all business and procurement interactions and functions
3-5 years procurement experience
Indirect (goods not for resale) experience preferred, but not required
Project planning and management experience
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration/Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Marketing, Industrial Engineering or Liberal Arts
Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with internal and external business stakeholders and leaders
Excellent business acumen and a strategic vision, ability to “see the big picture” and identify opportunities for strategic involvement and improvement
Ability to juggle multiple projects and manage competing timelines/priorities
Ability to manage conflict, build consensus, establish trust, communicate effectively, and foster cultural change
