GNC Research and Sensory Coordinator in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
30 Hours per week - Responsible for assisting with library database entry and with taste tests and other projects as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions
Assist with Library Research Database
Entering research fields into library database
Compiling research and creating Excel charts with detailed study data
Filing research papers and other library duties as assigned.
Set-up sensory paperwork forms and label cups for taste tests.
Prepare and mix product samples for taste tests.
Clean up and wash dishes from taste tests.
Compile sensory reports based on outcome of taste tests.
Bachelor’s Degree of Science or Arts
Previous experience (education or work related) using Pubmed/Medline database
- Bachelor’s degree with specific experience in nutrition/dietetics.
Skills and Abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Computer: Excel (data storage, manipulation & analysis), Word and PowerPoint, Internet
Ability to work in fast-paced environment in a highly organized fashion
Ability to work with minimal direction and accept a fluid/evolving environment
Ability to critically read technical documents/formulations, identify and troubleshoot challenges, and analyze next steps/timing
Ability to interact with sales, marketing, and technical professionals (scientists/manufacturing)
A passion for nutrition is a plus
Work Environment / Travel / Physical Demands
